By investigating the role of photography in the family context, my work aims to make us reflect on the influence images have on collective and personal memory. My practice is inspired by my personal experiences and revolves around themes such as human relationships, family, belonging and identity.
The medium of photography functions as a tool to engage with multiple realities – working with archive images, staged photographs and photographs of people and places as they are.
In my practice, I combine observation, personal reflections and actions to engage with multiple realities. The results of my work find themselves within publications and installations, but also as individual images.
